Greek Islands
The Aegean is a cruise region straight out of the book: short distances, a different island every day, dinner at sunset above the caldera. From Athens with the direct flight from Zurich, from Venice by rail.
- Length
- 7–10 nights
- From
- Piraeus (Athens) / Venice
- Sea days
- 2–3
A proposal, not a timetable
A different island every morning.
Santorini and Mykonos are part of it, but the cruise line decides the rest: Rhodes, Crete, Corfu or Kotor. We look for ships that stay in port late so you see the village without day-trippers – and for a casino that is open on the sea days.
For families there are departures with children's programmes; the casino remains reserved for adults. We confirm all details in writing.
- When to go
- Recommended: May–June and September–October. Hot and busy in high summer, but with the longest evenings.
- Getting there from Switzerland
- Getting there: direct flight Zurich – Athens (2 h 50), transfer to Piraeus 40 minutes. Alternatively rail Zurich – Milan – Venice in about six hours.
